A very well known
bilingual road signSomebody seems to have turned off the cooler in Wales, we went from temperatures in the lower teens to 20 and 22 in just a week. Its hot enough to only go about in short sleeves and I guess shorter trousers are just round the corner.
I was even thinking of getting myself a bicycle to get around, especially if we intend to have an actual summer here
-last year, as many of you know, was not something to write home about. However I don’t think I wold be able to fit the bike in the hallway of my flat. Would be great if I could get someone to share his or her shed or garage so I could put it somewhere more appropriate.
In other news it has been announced today that the Bank of England and the The Royal Mail will have to start using Welsh as well as English in Wales. This is all part of the Welsh language act and some other public companies will soon have to abide by it as well. Apparently some supermarkets are not using Welsh, however I can confirm that our local Tesco store and Boots do have all their signs in the store in Welsh and English.
