The day was made for a sightseeing tour, the weather was sunny, no rain forecasted and so I went for it. My first destination was St. David’s with it renown Whitesands beach. The parking very close to the beach so you don’t need to walk very far to the surf. The parking fee is about £3 and lasted for the whole day. The beach is actually very good and as the its name depicts – is sandy. Because there weren’t to many waves the water was very clear but unfortunately very very cold. I managed to go just as far as the middle of my shins.

I continued my walk on the coastal part, heading south.
I only came to a small unimpressive beach and decided to turn back.
I drove towards Fishguard and followed on to Cardigan. I didn’t stop in Cardigan but just drove through it. It seemed like it had a lovely town centre but that was it. On the way back home I crossed the Preseli hills and just by accident saw what looked like a lake about 500 m from the road. I lated found out it is called Rosebush reservoir. It looked very nice from where I was standing with nice sloping fields on it one of its side and a pine forest on the other. I tried stopping by the side of the road to approach it but could not as there was place I could do that. I then tried driving around the are thinking I might stumble upon some sort of on a approach road. No way. It is apparently completely blocked off by fields and other private property. Such a shame. Luckily I, again by chance, found the other, much bigger Llys-y-frân reservoir, which is fed by a stream that comes out of the Rosebush reservoir. The Llys-y-frân reservoir has a path all the way around it. As it was past 17 in the afternoon I decided to leave any sort of Llys-y-frân trek for a later date when I could dedicate the whole day just for that.
