The presentation was held by Andrej Štremfelj (50) and Rok Zalokar (24) and the theme was the alpinistic achievement on a himalayan mountain peak Janak Chuli (7090 m) which took place from 15. Sep. 2005 to 01. Nov. 2005. The presentation was great, however I did expect more side stories and not just plain commentary to the photo slides.
Also, the location of the venue was pretty bad – hotel Lovec in Bled (Slovenia) – the conference hall was way up on the 4. floor and was way to small for the number of visitors, the ventilation was apparently non-existent and all that was topped by a relatively high admission fee.
Unfortunately the high concentration of CO2 and the tropical heat spoiled an interesting story of this formidable alpinistic expedition.
There is an interview on the web with both Andrej and Rok, but only in Slovene. There is another article here.
